Part 3: Is Your Body Older Than Your Birthday Says It Is?

Imagine two women who are both celebrating their 50th birthday.
One hikes every weekend.
Sleeps well.
Has energy to play with her grandchildren.
Feels sharp at work.
The other struggles to climb a flight of stairs.
Needs an afternoon nap.
Feels stiff every morning.
Has brain fog.
Both are 50 years old.
But are they aging the same?
Not according to science.
Today, researchers are discovering that your chronological age—the number of birthdays you've celebrated—is only part of the story. Your biological age tells us how well your body is actually functioning. And the exciting part is that your biological age can change over time.
Chronological Age vs Biological Age
One of the biggest breakthroughs in longevity research is the realization that two people born on the exact same day can have bodies that age at very different rates.
Think of it this way. Chronological age simply measures how long you've been alive.
Biological age measures how well your cells, tissues, and organs are functioning today.
That's why some 70-year-olds still run marathons while others struggle with everyday activities.
Scientists are learning that healthy aging isn't simply about living longer—it's about helping your body function younger for as long as possible.
The BioAge Study
This is where it gets exciting.
Shaklee recently completed what it calls the Landmark Longevity Study.
Participants who consistently used the Bio-Age™ Reset Stack were found to have a biological age that averaged 11 years younger than their chronological age.
Think about that for a moment.
If you're 60 your body could potentially function more like someone who's 49.
That's exactly why researchers have become so interested in measuring biological age instead of simply counting birthdays.
Why the Stack Instead of Just One Product?
This is where many people misunderstand longevity.
There isn't one magic vitamin.
There isn't one miracle food.
There isn't one exercise.
Healthy aging is built on multiple systems working together.
That's why the Bio-Age™ Reset Stack combines several clinically supported products that address different aspects of healthy aging:
Vivix+ supports healthy NAD+ levels, cellular energy, and cellular defense.
Liquid BioCell® Life+ supports joints, connective tissue, skin, and collagen renewal.
Life Shake™ provides high-quality plant protein to help maintain lean muscle as we age.
Life Essentials (or Vita Life Stack, depending on the bundle) provides foundational daily nutrition to support overall wellness.
Instead of focusing on one pathway, the stack is designed to support multiple aspects of healthy aging together.
Why VO₂ Max Matters More Than You Think
Here's something I had never heard until I started researching longevity.
Scientists consider VO₂ max one of the strongest predictors of healthy active years.
VO₂ max measures how efficiently your body uses oxygen during activity.
It reflects how well your heart, lungs, muscles, and even your cells work together.
As we age, VO₂ max naturally declines.
One of the clinical findings behind Vivix+ was an improvement in VO₂ max significant enough that Shaklee describes it as equivalent to reversing about 8 years of age-related decline on average using established calculation methods.
That's a fascinating way to think about healthy aging. Not simply looking younger, but functioning younger.
The Goal Isn't Living Forever
I don't know about you but I'm not interested in simply adding years to my life.
I want to be able to enjoy those years not just exist on 19+ medications, in a nursing home, or tied to a walker or wheelchair.
I want to continue to travel the world.
Play with grandchildren.
Stay independent.
Continue serving others.
Healthy aging isn't about chasing youth.
It's about protecting the body God gave us so we can continue living life with strength, purpose, and energy for as long as possible.

Take the BioAge Challenge
One of the things I love most about this program is that it gives you a starting point.
Instead of guessing you can take the BioAge assessment and discover where you are today.
From there, you can begin building healthier habits while supporting your cells with the Bio-Age™ Reset Stack.
After all, you can't improve what you never measure. If you're curious about how your biological age compares to your chronological age, I'd love to help you get started.

Health is a journey not a destination. Results start forming day one but it can take 6-9 months to turn your body's health around. What is amazing about the bio-age reset stack is the level of nutrients and high quality products sole focused on anti-aging, inflammation, cellular repair, and long term results will show results at a prorated rate.

^As measured by increases in VO2 max, the leading indicator of all-cause mortality and healthy active years. VO2 max naturally declines with age, by roughly 0.3 to 0.5 mL/(kg·min) per year. In a two-month study, Vivix+ increased VO2 max by 2.6 to 3.8 mL/(kg·min) compared to baseline, depending on the calculation method used. That's equivalent to reversing 6.5 to 9.5 years of typical age-related decline, or 8 years, on average.
